JEAN NAUBERT (1888-1968) won the Chant Medal in 1953 for his exceptional photography of the Moon and his original and expert telescope making. He was one of the founders of the Centre français de Montréal and served for a number of years in the '50s as their Director of Observations. By 1972 he had figured no less than four 41-cm mirrors one of which he donated to the Centre in 1968.
