ROYAL ASTRONOMICAL SOCIETY OF CANADA COMET AND NOVA SECTION Announcement # 6. February 26, 1963 _N_O_V_A_ A naked eye nova was discovered about 5 degrees N W of Vega, between Lyra and Hercules. Coordinates are (for epoch 1960): R.A. 18h 13m, Dec. +41°50' Magnitude was 4.1 on Feb 9, and was estimated by the undersigned at 5.3 on Feb 23.
