Nautical Almanac Office,
3, Verulam Buildings,
Gray's Inn, W.C.
23 January 1896
Dear Sir,
In reply to your letter of 13th inst. I beg to say that I am sending you Nautical Almanacs 1896-99 inclusive, and have put the Society on our Distribution List for future issues.
I must ask for your publications in exchange, as it is only on these terms that the Treasury allows free distribution of the Almanac. I keep no stock of Almanacs for back years here, and for them you must apply to our booksellers Eyre & Spottiswoode, East Harding St., London E. C., who can supply the Almanac for many years back at 2lb each.
Yours faithfully
A.M.W. Downing
